An Indo-Israel Seminar on “Protected Cultivation” was successfully held at Centre of Excellence for Vegetables (Indo-Israel Project), Kartarpur, Jalandhar on November 27– 28, 2014.
The Seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Gurkanwal Singh, Director -Horticulture, Punjab in the presence of Mr. Dan Alluf, Agriculture Counselor, Embassy of Israel, New Delhi; Ms. Shelly Gantz, Vegetable Expert – Israel; Ms. Rita Lipkin, Coordinator, Embassy of Israel, New Delhi; Dr. Satbir Singh, Deputy Director Horticulture, Jalandhar. Dr Daljit Singh Gill, Project Officer, Centre of Excellence for Vegetables (Indo-Israel Project), Kartarpur, Jalandhar coordinated the Seminar.
Delegates, State representatives and Project Officers from Gujrat, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab had participated in the two-day Seminar.
